Union information and service center is a state-of-the-art information technology center (telecentre) established in the Union Council, which aims to ensure information services at the doorstep of grassroots people. From this center, the people of rural areas get very easy access to their home and living information and useful services.
On November 11, 2010, Honorable Prime Minister inaugurated all Union Information and Service Centers (UISC) across the country with its Char Kakrimukuri Union TVVedia conference of the Prime Minister of the United Nations and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and former Prime Minister of New Zealand Miss Helen Clark Bhola. These centers receive about 40 million monthly information and services from these centers. Through the UISC, easy, fast and less expensive and non-government services have started to bring in huge changes to the lives of the local people.
In the service of Doorssteps, the journey of the UISC started in front of Moghon. Union Information and Service Centers have been established based on PPPP (Public-Private-People's Partnership) model.
